Seeking Approval 

I am feeling so inspired by Essena’s movement on Lets Be Game Changers. She talks about becoming obsessed with social media and seeking validation from how many likes you rack in on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Twitter and any other outlets you can think of. But in argument to her post I will say I don’t think social media is “fake” like she is saying. I get a lot of inspiration from others, they make me want to be a better person, not a different person.

Saving Money in College


Some people know this about me, some don’t. But I have to pay for college on my own and many other expenses, but tuition is the bank drainer. I do not qualify for loans nor do I want to be in debt when I graduate, so every 6 months I have to save about $2000-$3000 to afford each semester. Many of my friends always ask me but how? How do you build up that much money and not spend it?

Grand Opening of Madewell in the Avalon

Madewell has been a favorite store of mine for quite some time. They are a smaller boutique from the J.Crew Company. Their head designer, Joyce Lee, says “Madewell is basically for anyone who appreciates timeless designs that put you at ease.” Their demographic is the millennial crowd who lead fabulous lives. Some adjectives that come to mind when I am in the store are effortless, androgynous, sexy and artful. It’s all in how you style their pieces, you could decide to tuck in the front of your shirt or roll your sleeve up. Creativity with their clothes is highly suggested.
